Nanotechnology is the twenty-first-century discipline concerned with studying and engineering manufactured materials with one dimension less than ۱۰۰ nm that possess unique properties because of their size. Nanotechnologies cover many aspects, such as disease treatment, food security, new materials for pathogen detection, packaging materials and delivery systems.
